Sunday, no plans. Window light on the table, overcast outside so the light was even. I set a white piece of paper as a background and went around the apartment picking up objects I’ve had for years and photographed them one at a time.

It’s a good exercise for seeing what you own. Most of these are things I look at every day without really looking. Putting one in a small square of light and adjusting the angle until it reads — you notice the object again. The compass has a scratch on it I’d never noticed. The pen cap has a tiny dent. The knife is duller than it should be.

All converted to black and white in Lightroom with a slightly warm tone. Not a project, just an afternoon.
