Had a 14-hour layover on the way home from a work trip. Dropped the bag in a coin locker at Narita, bought a day pass, and went.
I’d been before, years ago, so I didn’t feel compelled to do any of the big-name things. Mostly I walked, ate twice, sat in a small bookstore I’ve been thinking about since, and took pictures of things that, in retrospect, are all just me being quietly happy to be alone in a city.
The X100V was the right camera for it. I wasn’t going to swap lenses, I didn’t want anything bigger in my jacket pocket, and the quiet shutter is a gift on a train.
